Welcome to Pravitadiko I'm Nektaria, your host, and I’m delighted to share with you the story of our family home. The story of Pravitadiko begins around 1950, when my grandfather, Christos Pravitas, decided to build a house to shelter his family. His family included five children – Katerina, Giorgos (my father), Anna, Ilias, and Maria – and his wife, Argyri. The building materials were carried with animals, by my grandfather and my father themselves: stones from the river and earth. With their own hands and effort, they built the home that would house their family. Later, when my father got married and started his own family, he inherited half of the building from his father to begin his new life. Together with my mother, Despina, they created a beautiful and warm space where they raised their three children. As the family grew, they moved to a new house around 1980. Since then, the old house has hosted many people, shared special moments with them, and created new stories. A few years ago, the house was passed on to me, as an inheritance from my father. Along with my husband, Christos, we had to make a decision: The decision was made. We fully renovated the house from the ground up. We preserved its traditional character, its stonework, and authenticity, but gave it a modern touch. Today, it’s ready to write new stories with the people it welcomes. Ready to write your stories. We created a beautiful and comfortable space to host you and your family. We equipped it with everything necessary to make your stay functional and pleasant. Located on the main road, it offers parking and is just a 5-minute walk from the village’s central square. It has a courtyard and a barbecue, ideal for those who love to prepare their own meals. It is a “smart” home, designed with care for the environment and the people it hosts.
